Jeremiah Hundley, US

He began his dedication towards physical  conditioning as a young man of 6. By the age of 12 he entered into the Junior Olympics with two Silver Medals and and at 18 held the record for longest discuss throw that stood for 10 years.  Throughout his training he has practiced many forms of exercise; Track, football, weightlifting, martial arts, Rock Climbing to name a few and says of each there is a common thread, the understanding of the body enhances each. At the age of 28 he tore his Meniscus and ACL tendons in a snowboarding accident and was told he’d never be able to perform in any sport again. Unwilling to except their Prognosis, he searched for a challenging exercise that would strengthen from the inside out.  He found it in Pilates and Yoga, which also deepened his knowledge of how the body works, subsequently seducing him to continue practicing over 6 years eventually earning him a certification from The Physical Mind Institute.  Jeremiah believes that Pilates restored his vitality, strength and longevity to a degree beyond where he was before his accident.  Through the exercises contained in Pilates Jeremiah has been able to pursue his love of Physically blending the mind and body while regaining the strength to resume the sports he loved.  His reason for teaching is to help others  overcome what some say is impossible through self experience.  The mind can overcome anything if the will has the tenacity to create it.

Wolfgang W. Sachtleben, German

Yoga has been Wolfgang’s encouraging and reassuring companion for over 10 years, always by his side to lift the spirit and the spine. It is his fun and playful friend during the sunny times and a caring and supportive one during the quiet moments.

Wolfgang’s professional background in architecture complements his beliefs in Iyengar yoga where he finds parallels to the human anatomy. He embraces a search for simplicity in alignment and detail, clarity of form and an enjoyment in movement. A strong and grounded foundation supports the construction of a creative and stimulating yoga practice, allowing both body and mind to grow and expand.

In the past 10 years, Wolfgang has followed the concept of effortless effort through self-practice and teaching. That effortlessness carries with it an understanding and compassion, preventing injuries of both body (physical) and mind (psychological).

His love of architecture and yoga guides his practice into a journey that brings awareness not just on the mat but also in all details of everyday life.

Wolfgang is a certified Iyengar teacher.
