Get a semi-private introduction into the secrets of Pilates on the Reformer machines.

This workshop will enable you to join our reformer group sessions without the need to do a prerequisite private class.

This workshop will teach our Teens the principles of body alignment and how this is important to the activities they enjoy.

 

There are so many good reasons why we should enable and encourage our kids to benefit from the advantages of Pilates:

  • Pilates is the basis for improving posture, body awareness, strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, increasing focus and concentration.
    Teenagers today live on a very low level of physical activity.

    More than half of their daytime they spend sitting at tables in school and at home.

  • Pilates improves the way the body functions, looks and feels – and knowing one’s body inside and out leads to greater self-esteem. It also helps prevent injury.
  • Pilates can assist with weight management issues because this form of exercise strengthens and lengthens core muscles without adding bulk.

 

In order to pass school, teenagers are facing high pressure to perform. It is therefore crucial for them to learn how to cope with stress. The applied mind-body approach of Pilates can help them to self-manage their inner balance and improve their self-confidence. This method provides a positive impact on their academic achievements and generally strengthens their mental and physical competitiveness.

 

This workshop will be conducted by Patricia Duchaussoy (Pilates master teacher).

Patricia has been working with pre-teens and teens for years as a dance teacher, incorporating Pilates into their classes.
